Built more than 150 years ago, the clock is a symbol of London. But it's not going tho chime for three years, while the antique clock and tower are renovated...
Four clocks are on the tower. Each clock face has surface area of 38.5 m2 - that's 1000000 times the size of a one-pound coin. The 312 pieces of glass on each clock face will be changed and the light bulbs will be replaced by environmentally-friendly, low-energy bulbs.
At 96 meters high, this is the world's biggest square tower with a ciming clock. Completed in 1859 the tower was named Elizabeth Tower in 2012 for the Queens's jubilee.
The tower stands at the North-East end of the Houses of Parliment.
I like so much this tower because is very tall and beautifull. Is very incredible to see it. I like the clocks too because there are too big!
